Tim Duffin

Tim Duffin has over 25 years of global insurance and reinsurance industry experience. He was appointed Group Chief Underwriting Officer in January 2026, having served as Chief Underwriting Officer, Hamilton Re since 2017. He joined Hamilton as Senior Vice President, Property Reinsurance in 2012.

From 2009 until 2012, Tim was a property catastrophe underwriter at Platinum Underwriters Bermuda, focusing on the US account and outwards retrocession purchases. From 1998 to 2009, he worked as a broker for Aon in London and Bermuda (from September 2004), where he was part of the global retrocession team.

Tim holds an ACII designation from The Chartered Insurance Institute and a B.A. in English Literature and Psychology from Oxford Brookes University, UK.
